About this block
The ImageBlock renders a single image with an optional caption, alt text and supporting text. It is the standard editorial image component — use it whenever you need a standalone image that is not part of a hero, card or slideshow. The block supports focal point configuration so editors can control which part of the image remains in frame when cropped for different viewports.
Tips
- Always fill in AltText — it is required for accessibility and SEO
- Use the Caption field for context the image cannot convey on its own
- Set the FocalPoint for images where the subject is off-centre
- Use MainIntro for a brief analytical or contextual sentence below the image
