About this block
The RichTextBlock is the foundational editorial content component. It renders a full WYSIWYG rich-text field that supports headings (H2–H4), paragraphs, bold, italic, links, bullet and numbered lists, blockquotes and inline tables. It is the go-to block for body content that does not need a dedicated visual treatment.
What the RichTextBlock cannot do
- Display images (use ImageBlock or MediaSlideshowBlock)
- Embed video (use VideoBlock)
- Render an interactive map (use MapBlock)
- Show a CTA button (use CtaBlock or CtaButtonBlock)
Editorial best practices
- One idea per paragraph. Short paragraphs (2–4 sentences) are easier to scan.
- Use headings to create rhythm. A reader should be able to scan headings alone and understand the structure.
- Avoid over-formatting. If everything is bold, nothing is bold.
Headings and Structure
The RichTextBlock supports up to four heading levels. Use H2 for major section titles, H3 for subsections and H4 for minor labels. Do not skip levels — heading hierarchy matters for accessibility and SEO.
Lists
- Bullet point — for unordered items
- Keep list items parallel in structure
- Avoid lists longer than seven items; break them into subsections
- First step — numbered lists for sequential processes
- Second step — TOMRA’s RVM processes a container in under four seconds
- Third step — the deposit is refunded as a voucher, digital credit or cash
Bold and Emphasis
Use bold for key terms and data points. Use italics sparingly — for technical terms, publication titles and foreign words.

The circular economy is not a distant aspiration — it is an operational reality in markets that have invested in the right systems and incentives. TOMRA has been building those systems for over 50 years.
